The Walk from Himeji Station
The walk is 1 km, entirely flat, and takes 15β20 minutes. Otemae-dori runs straight north from the station forecourt β there is no navigation required because the main keep is visible from the moment you exit the station. The boulevard is lined with cherry trees (spectacular in late March to early April) and has the castle entrance gate at its northern end.
There is no tram or shuttle between the station and the castle. Taxis are available but unnecessary given how straightforward the walk is for anyone with reasonable mobility.
